TIME

hourglass, time, monk-1875812.jpg

As time passes thru’ my life

And I realize I’ve changed its velocity

By simply adjusting my stride

And following my curiosity

It’s a fact of life I believe

That when things slow down

You are just getting in position

For another one of lifes little showdowns

We bring them on ourselves you know

It’s all too easy to see

For stumbling thru’ our self made maze

Eventually the strong become the weak

To persist in an awkward direction

Seems at times all so right

Then your dreams come down around your ears

And how they fit so tight

So when do I lengthen my stride

And should I be so curious?

I guess it all comes with age

And not taking life so serious

Disappointment is an overwhelming feeling

But not so hard to thwart

Let your will power be the seedling

Of a life that’s all to short.
