I met a lady the other day
With a smile that enlightened me
And talked with her for a while
At the cost of my sanity
She speaks very fast and has an accent
And gets her point across
She seems to me an adorable lass
And my speech is at a loss
I’m on thin ice, I know this well
And should watch my every word
And all engrossed in her talk
I utter something absurd
Enthralled with all her gestures
And the ideas she expressed
I’m content to sit and listen
To the plan that she has addressed
To guide me through this technical mess
And keep me from going asunder
Hopefully I can honor her teachings
And make my very own thunder
With her guidance and her know how
I now have a chance
To waltz across this dance floor
And ask this beauty to dance
