Feelin my oats, having a good time
My working life’s over and am entering my prime
My ranch is all cluttered
With a life long collection
Of parts and pieces of my good intentions
The pump handle broken
My tractor seat bites
And my pedigree rooster crows all night
My wife’s at a social
The watchdog out hunting
And the hire hand’s in the barn
Trying to fix something
The last I saw of my prize winning bull
He was hell-bent across the pasture
His mind set on a little scrub heifer
I was supposed to get rid of last year
So I’m sitting here with my feet on the fence
Admiring my truck with a couple of new dents
From my teenage daughter’s poor unjust luck
And how good she’s learning to drive my new truck.
